PPP Model for Airport Development in China: An Assessment of Risks and Potential Solutions

Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models are widely popular all over the world. China witnesses an extraordinarily economic growth and has used a great-amount PPP in transport infrastructure such as express railway, highway, municipal road so on. However, still immature airport due to its political, economic, legal environment. Although many researchers have investigated some reasons of this phenomenon, it is necessary investigate more because not been applied nowadays. This paper found huge amount investment long period hinder application most, according questionnaires interviews from public. And we also proposed several potential solutions, making multi-stage development strategy, selling real estate right near adding recreation facilities at airport, which helpful promote utilization airport.
